Legislative Practice

Our lawyers advise public sector clients and associa­tions in connection with the legislative process. We bring many years of experience to the table in drafting and assessing (draft) legisla­tion. Our firm's lawyers are regularly invited to attend parliamentary hearings on their various areas of particular expertise. We ensure that we are able to advise clients on up-to-the-minute legislative issues thanks to our close connections with legal academia and policymakers.

Experience

We advise ministries of the German federal government and of the German Länder as well as associa­tions on matters of environmental, tran­sport and fiscal law, for example on “CCS technology” (proposed bill on CO₂ capture), on the new Recycling Management Act (Kreislaufwirt­schafts­ge­setz) (privatisa­tion of domestic waste management), on implementa­tion of EU environmental Directives and on legisla­tion dealing with stabilisa­tion of the financial markets.
