Data protection policy

The provider of this website and responsible for the processing of your personal data is the law firm Redeker Sellner Dahs Partnerschaftsgesellschaft mbB, Willy‐Brandt‐Allee 11, 53113 Bonn (hereinafter: "we"). With the following explanations we inform you about which personal data we process, i.e. in particular we collect and store. You can contact our data protection officer at datenschutz@redeker.de or at our postal address with the addition "the data protection officer".

§ 1 Data processing while surfing our website

When you view our website for information purposes, we process the following personal data:

  • IP address
  • date and time of the request
  • content of the request (specific page visited)
  • referring website (if you followed a link)
  • browser software and version
  • operating system and its shell.
  • http status code
  • amount of data transferred for each request

The processing of this data is technically necessary for us to properly display our website to you and to ensure stability and security. Since we have a legitimate interest in this respect, data processing is based on the legal basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f GDPR.

Our website is hosted by our external host provider CANCOM Pironet AG & Co. KG, Von‐der‐Wettern‐Straße 27, 51149 Cologne (data processor).

§ 2 Data processing for newsletter subscription when registering via our website

You can register for newsletters on our website. For this purpose, your e‐mail address and the "whether" of the registration for newsletter subscription will be processed by us. If you revoke your consent to the use of your e‐mail address or cancel the newsletter, we will remove your data from our newsletter distribution list. A newsletter dispatch does not take place then any more.

Registration for our newsletter mailing takes place within the framework of a so‐called "double opt‐in procedure". After entering your e‐mail address, we will send you a confirmation e‐mail containing a confirmation link to the e‐mail address provided. If no confirmation is received within 48 hours, the registration will be deleted automatically. If youfollow the link in the confirmation e‐mail, we will save your e‐mail address until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. The sole purpose of this storage is to send the newsletter. To prevent misuse of your personal data, we also store the time of your registration and your IP address.

You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time. You can declare the revocation online. A revocation does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

Furthermore, for technical and organizational reasons, the time of the last change to your data record, the time of consent and the status of an completed double opt‐in are processed. This serves solely to fulfil our data protection obligations and is therefore in our justified interest as a technical‐organisational measure. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. If you object to the processing of your personal data by us in this respect, we will no longer process the personal data unless we can prove compelling grounds for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

§ 3 Data processing when contacting us by e‐mail

In the case of inquiries via one of our e‐mail addresses provided to you, we process the personal data you have voluntarily provided exclusively in order to process your inquiry, to answer or to contact you. The data arising in this context will be deleted after final answer, unless there are legal or other storage obligations. The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. To the extent that correspondence is not required for the performance of a contract with us or for the implementation of pre‐contractual measures, the legal basis of the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. In this respect, our legitimate interest is to communicate with the sender and to manage and document the communication.

The Website may contain links to other websites, to privacy statements and data protection guidelines on these websites. We assume neither liability nor responsibility for these statements and guidelines not related to our website.

§ 5 Confidentiality

Personal data will be treated confidentially. We do not make your personal data available to third parties unless you have given your consent or we are legally obliged to pass them on.

§ 6 Automated decision‐making

Automated decision‐making does not take place.
