In the following we will inform you in accordance with Art. 13 DSGVO about the manner and background of the processing of your personal data via the Facebook fan page of Redeker (hereinafter “fan page”) and about the rights to which you are entitled.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person

Responsibility

Redeker Sellner Dahs Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwältinnen und Rechtsanwälten mbB, Willy‑Brandt‑Allee 11, 53113 Bonn, Germany, e‑mail: info@redeker.de (hereinafter also referred to as “we”) is responsible for processing your personal data pursuant to Art. 4 No. 7 DSGVO.

In addition, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, D 2 Dublin, Ireland, (hereinafter “Facebook”) is jointly responsible with us for data processing when visiting this fan page. This applies in particular to the collection of visitor data, tracking by cookies set by Facebook and other technologies and the processing of the data collected in this way within the framework of Facebook's Insights program.

We have concluded an agreement with Facebook pursuant to Art. 26 DSGVO on joint responsibility, which, among other things, stipulates that Facebook fulfils your rights as a data subject within the scope of this data processing. The full content of the agreement can be found here.

Data protection officer

You can reach our data protection officer by e‑mail at datenschutz@redeker.de or by post at the above address with the addition “To the data protection officer”.

Data processing

When you visit our fan page, certain information is processed, including your IP address and information stored on your PC in the form of cookies. This information enables you to be identified and your user behaviour on the Internet to be tracked (so‑called “tracking”). As the operator of the fan page, this data is made available to us by Facebook in the form of a statistical evaluation of the users and the use of our fan page. This includes, for example, the total number of page views on our fan page and the range of individual contributions. We receive these evaluations regardless of whether we order these data or actually use them. Facebook here provides you with more information about these statistics. If you “link” our fan page by clicking on the “like me” button, this data will also be processed and linked to your Facebook account

We are jointly responsible with Facebook for this processing of personal data. Pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 UAbs. 1 lit. f DSGVO, the legal basis for this data processing is our legitimate interest in adapting the content of our fan page to the wishes of fan page visitors or to increase the visibility of our fan page, as well as Facebook's interest in optimising its advertising offers.

We are not sure whether we have a comprehensive overview of the data that Facebook processes when fan pages are visited. The same applies to the question of how long Facebook stores your data. Nor do we know how Facebook uses the information it collects to associate it with your Facebook account or other profiles. We have therefore asked Facebook to provide us with the necessary information as quickly as possible so that we can make it available to you as part of this privacy statement.

Transmission of data to recipients outside Europe

The data collected when you visit our fan page is processed by Facebook and may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), such as Facebook Group's parent company Facebook Ireland, Facebook Inc. Facebook Inc. states that it uses so‑called EU standard contract clauses when transferring data to countries outside the EEA. More information about how Facebook processes personal information can be found here and here.

Use of Facebook's Messenger service

When you send us a message via Facebook's messenger service, we process the content of that message and your sender information, including your name and the address of your Facebook account. Pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 UAbs. 1 lit. f DSGVO, the legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry.

Rights of affected parties

In accordance with the DSGVO, you have the following rights with regard to your personal data to the extent permitted by law:

  • Right to information,
  • Right to rectification,
  • Right to deletion,
  • Right to limit the processing,
  • Right to object to the processing,
  • Right to data transferability.

If we process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 UAbs. 1 lit. f DSGVO), you may object to the processing. The cases in which we base the processing on our legitimate interest can be found in this data protection declaration

If we are solely responsible for the processing of your data, you can contact us or our data protection officer to assert your right to object and the other rights affected (e. g.  B. by e‑mail, see contact details above). In cases where we are responsible for processing your personal data jointly with Facebook, you may also contact Facebook to enforce your rights. In accordance with our agreement with Facebook pursuant to Art. 26 DSGVO, Facebook assumes all obligations in asserting your rights concerning the processing of personal data for which we are jointly responsible with Facebook. We would therefore like to ask you to contact Facebook in this regard. Of course, you can also assert your rights against us.

If you exercise your right to object, we ask you to explain the reasons why your personal data should not be processed. In the event of your justified objection, the situation will be examined and the data processing will either be discontinued or adapted to it or you will be informed of the compelling reasons worthy of protection on the basis of which the processing will be continued.

You can of course object to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes at any time without having to give reasons by contacting us or the data protection officer (e. g.  B. by e‑mail, contact details above). You will not incur any further costs.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data.
