Studied law in Regensburg. 1981 first State examination, 1984 second State examination. Research assistant at the Chair for Civil Law and Roman Law at the University of Regensburg, 1981 to 1984. 1986 doctoral degree with Prof Dr Picker, Regensburg.

Joined the firm in 1984.
