Career

Studied law in Hanover, at the College of Europe (Bruges), and at Humboldt University in Berlin. Passed the first state law examination in 2013. From 2009 to 2019, research assistant to Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Wurmnest; in 2021, earned a Ph.D. from the University of Augsburg on the conflict‑​of‑​laws provisions of the GDPR (Faculty Award), funded in part by the German National Academic Foundation. Passed the second state examination in 2021. Completed a legal traineeship at the Kammergericht, with placements at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and an international commercial law firm, among others; practiced there as an attorney from 2022 to 2023, specializing in competition law and litigation. Most recently, Legal Counsel at an international trading group, responsible, among other things, for European (product) regulation and the use of artificial intelligence.

Joined the law firm in 2026.

Ongoing advice on digitalization and data protection law for national and international companies, institutions, associations, and government agencies; representation in proceedings before data protection supervisory authorities and national and European courts; Advice on European (product) regulation, particularly in data law (including the Data Act, Data Governance & AI Act); support for companies and associations in German and European legislative and regulatory initiatives.
