Born in Münster in 1984. Studied law at the Bucerius Law School (Hamburg) and the University of Cambridge, 2001‐2006. 2006 first State examination, 2012 second State examination. Doctoral studies in the area of European criminal law at the European University Institute, Florence, with Prof Neil Walker 2006‐2010. MRes (EUI) in 2007.

Criminal law, especially economic criminal law (white collar, including tax criminal law and environmental criminal law), international cooperation in criminal matters.
Advising and defending executives of major multinational corporations as well as small and medium‑sized companies, including in wide‑ranging hearings and appeals proceedings; criminal proceedings with international aspects, international legal assistance proceedings; advising witnesses, including before parliamentary investigative committees; advising companies in the area of criminal and regulatory offences law, e. g. multinational chemicals enterprises on environmental criminal law; compliance and internal investigations.
