Studied law in Mannheim and London, UK. 1988 first State examination, 1995 second State examination. 1988 to 2000 research assistant at the Chair of Public Law of Prof Dr Wolf‐Rüdiger Schenke. 1990/91 student at the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, 1991 Master of Laws. 1994 doctoral degree. 2000 habilitation on the subjects of Public Law and legal Theory, Mannheim. Since 2000 lecturer in law at the University of Mannheim.

Joined the firm in 2001.
