The Berlin office was opened in 1997. It continues the partnership's tradition of being in close geographical proximity to the institutions of the German Federal Government, which began with the founding of the partnership in Bonn. With twenty‐four lawyers, the Berlin office is the partnership’s second‐largest.
The office’ key practice areas are administrative law and constitutional law, and specialist areas such as environmental law, regulatory law and sector‐specific antitrust/competition law, public procurement law, data protection law, tax law and the law governing publicly‐owned assets. In the area of civil law, the Berlin office advises, inter alia, on corporate law and intellectual property, media and culture, as well as on construction law and real estate.
