We have been advising on municipal law for many years. Our lawyers provide legal advice on all questions that may arise in connection with local authorities, their inner structures, the external impact of their actions and their relationship to government bodies. Municipal law is based on the principle of municipal self‐government. Consequently, the local authority is responsible for all matters affecting the local community. Municipal law comprises all legal provisions that affect local municipalities – extending across the Municipalities Code, the Municipal Constitution, the Law on Local Elections, the Local Financial Regulation, to the community statutes.
We advise municipalities, administrative districts, local associations and other organisational entities, and in particular municipal special purpose associations and represent clients in disputes relating to the municipal constitution before the responsible administrative courts. A reference example: we advised an energy provider on municipal law on the occasion of its restructuring.
