Studied law in Passau, Sydney and Berlin (Humboldt University), sponsored by the German National Academic Foundation; first state examination in 2010. Subsequently worked in the German Bundestag and a major international law firm (litigation). Specialization in health and medical law through part‑​time Master's degree in Medicine, Ethics, Law (MLU Halle‑​Wittenberg) and research work at the University of Basel in an SNF project on innovative treatment methods. In‑​depth study from 2013 to 2017 as scientific coordinator of the interdisciplinary Cologne Center for Ethics, Rights, Economics, and Social Sciences of Health (ceres) at the University of Cologne and research work at the University Hospital Cologne. 2019 Doctorate in medical law and second state examination. Legal traineeships at the Federal Joint Committee and at an international law firm specializing in health law. Most recently legal advisor at the German Medical Association.

Focus on public health law, public commercial law and constitutional law with a focus on the digitalization of the healthcare system, e‑​health/​digital health, health insurance law, pharmaceutical and medical device law, hospital law, research and transplantation law as well as medical professional law
