Career

Studied law in Passau, Sydney and at Humboldt University in Berlin, sponsored by the German National Academic Foundation. First state exam in 2010, followed by research assistant at the German Bundestag, at a major law firm in Berlin in the area of litigation and at a copyright boutique. 2011 to 2012 part‑​time master's degree in medicine, ethics, law at Martin Luther University Halle‑​Wittenberg. Subsequently, research associate at the University of Basel in a project on innovative treatment methods funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. 2013 to 2017 scientific coordinator of the interdisciplinary Cologne Center for Ethics, Rights, Economics, and Social Sciences of Health (ceres) at the University of Cologne under the direction of Prof. Dr. Christiane Woopen. 2019 Doctorate in medical law at the chair of Prof. Dr. Christian Katzenmeier and second state examination. Internships at the Federal Joint Committee and an internationally active health law boutique. Most recently, consultant at the German Medical Association.

Comprehensive consulting for the public sector on digitization in healthcare; consulting and Litigation representation of various federal and state agencies in a variety of health care law proceedings, including expropriation, compensation and State liability issues; advice and litigation in infection control law including issues of testing, vaccine procurement and entry; advising various stakeholders (international companies, institutions and public authorities) on Public authorities) on fundamental legal issues in the health sector, as well as advising Providers and users of the sharing economy (Airbnb, among others).
